The popular down under treatment, vaginal steaming, commonly known as v-steam, is an ancient African treatment that provides a steam facial for the vagina to release toxins, soothing menstrual cramps and promoting fertility.
Vaginas steam baths, also known as Yoni bath, is an ancient African practice and is still popular among black women in the Caribbean. Black Africans are leading this new vaginal revolution here in the United States. You can find professional vaginal steams at African spas in most major cities or you can do it yourself. The benefits are too intriguing to pass up.
The benefits include: reducing hormonal cramps or PMS cramps, fights viruses, infections, helps in relaxation, fibroid, endometriosis, can increase fertility, helps a baby turn in the right position once the due date gets close, helps to improve hemorrhoids, and will help tone and tighten the vagina. The basis for a vaginal steam is red raspberry leaf tea. You will generally find the addition of Mugwort, black walnut and other herbs depending on the reason for your steam.
How does vaginal steaming works?
Wearing a long dress from the waist down, the woman squats down without underwear over a steaming pot of water infused with natural herbs. Raspberry leaf, basil, oregano, wormwood, and rosemary, but the predominant herb in the steam bath is raspberry leaf. During the process, which should last for about 20 to 45 minutes, the v-steam supposedly dilates the blood vessels, increasing blood circulation, providing oxygen, and relaxing the pelvic floor.

Now that you have some background, let’s get into some of the specifics of a vagina detox. It is best to do a vagina detox within a week before your period and every two weeks to retain up the cleansing. You want to use two Quarts of natural spring water with a touch of Himalayan salt and one cup of dried herbs (raspberry leaf). For an infection, post menstrual or post baby, to tighten your Yoni choose one or two of the accompanying:
Clove (1 Tablespoon slightly crushed cloves) – Do not use while breastfeeding, Basil, Oregano, Ginger, cloves can also be added in the steam for a yeast infection or bacterial vaginas.

How to do a Vagina Detox – First phase
Get a cup of herbs and mix it well with two Quarts of water with a pinch of Himalayan salt. Let sits overnight.
The next morning, bring to a boil and cut down to a simmer for ten minutes. Then let rest, off the heat, for another 20 minutes. Pour the contents in a heavy bowl and place it in your toilet. Grab a few blankets to wrap around you and undress. Carefully sit on the toilet, wrap up in a blanket and rest for 20 minutes with the vaginal steam.
When the time is up, wrap the blanket around you and either goes outside where the sun is shining or wrap up in bed for another 20 minutes.
